Ok girls i found another killer deal! So i have this addiction with Target and came across these two dresses below on sale for only $5.64! (price may vary depending on store location) So of course I bought them! Amazing material, very cute look and best of all they are LONG pair them up with jeans or nice dress pants and you can go from “out with friends” to at an “at the office look”!

For the brown dress you will need to wear a white long sleeve top under because the puff on the sleeves of the dress itself will create a bulge if you wear a jacket on top!

The black and white dress you can wear it either way. A white or black shirt under or a jacket on top. Both looks are super cute, easy and simple!

To take your outfit to the next level wear a nice long necklace, keep it simple and some bangles and your all set!

Al Hamdulilah every summer I am blessed with the oppurtunity to go to Egypt and renew my hijab collection. I am obsessed with hijabs just as much as I am with shoes and handbags. I love having funky colors, cool designs and learning different ways of wearing the hijab. Pretty much I love mixing it up every once and a whilen being that hijab is a huge part of my identity and appearance. A lot of my friends ask me to buy hijabs for them while i am in Egypt since finding hijabs that are of good quality and are fashionable is sometimes hard in the states. So I have decided to start my own online hijab store and need your help!

So if you have the time please answer the following questions to help me start up my online hijab store that meets the needs of young Muslim girls in America and provides the look they are seeking.

what colors do you want?

what styles are you looking for?

what is a reasonable price to purchase a hijab?

Do you like hijabs with beading? or plain?

Funky loud colors? or subtle soft colors?

Triangle hijabs? Rectangle hijabs? Two piece? etc….

Also feel free to provide any other tips or comments you may have. Including name ideas since I am not the most creative of people when it comes to that!

Looking for a long dress? something proper yet fun! Well Old Navy has what you need. I was shopping for a conference I was going to in New Orleans last weekend and made a pit stop at Old Navy. Came across these cute tube top dresses that are long and flowy and all you need to do is wear a cropped jacket to make it work! Depending on your level of spunk you can go for the funky floral prints or just a plain solid. My personal favorite is the pink floral one which i think would look awesome with a white jacket, plain white hijab and some cute white flip flops or sandals that will totally give you the summer breeze look! I almost feel like I am advertising for Old Navy but these dresses are really cute and pretty affordable at a nice price of $25.00 to $29.50 plus tax!

How to make your hijab match the outfit!

Hijabs, Mandeel, Hata, Duppotas, or even Higabs (to all my Egyptians) is a hijabis hair and most noticable attire in public. You want to make it look good, sleek, cool, and whatever terms one could use! So how do you make your hijab match your outfit. Many scarves these days have a lot of designs, loud colors, funky swirls and animals printed on them (animal printed hijabs are kinda weird). If your into those types of things its cool but there are steps that need to be taken to make it work without over doing it.

1. If your going to wear a hijab that has a lot going on, go easy on the outfit. If your hijab has a lot of designs, beading, thread-work, etc. try to make sure your top is a solid color to bring the tone down a bit.

2. For plain hijabs, spice it up by wearing an under-piece that has some work going on.

3. Mix up the colors! Wear a under-piece that is a different color or an accent color of the hijab itself. This looks super cool especially when these colors coordinate with your outfit. For example if your wearing black pants and a top that has black and white in it, wear a black under-piece and a white hijab. Trust me people think you put a lot of effort into getting ready when all you did is matched your hijab to your clothes.

4. Try the 2 hijab wrap as I like to call it. Take two rectangular hijabs and wrap them together giving the layered look. It look really nice with layered clothing or if you just want to step it up a notch.

Overall have fun with your hijab. No one said hijabis cant be fashionable. Try new things, new styles, even some colors you would never think of wearing, you might just surprise yourself. To find different ways of tieing or wearing your hijab you can always look at magazines like Muslim Girl or online websites that give you step by step instructions on how to wear your hijab in different ways.
